Hi there! My name is Azat Bayandin! I'm a UX and Product Designer based in Vancouver, Canada. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in User Experience and Interaction Design from Simon Fraser University's School of Interactive Arts and Technology.
Before doing design, I spent 2 years studying programming languages and computer science. But when I discovered my creative side while taking a graphic design course, I felt pursuing degree in design was more fulfillng and exciting than learning C++, Java, and Python. 😁
During my time as a design student, I built architectural models, directed cinematography for two student films, and created tiny robots with Arduino. In my third year, I discovered UX, UI, and Interaction Design—career paths that perfectly balanced my creative drive with my practical mindset.
Since then, I've had the privilege of designing enterprise software features at Visier and SAP Canada, elevating web experiences for Best Buy Canada, and enhancing internal business software and customer-facing experiences for home-improvement at Article.com
I am a cinema geek (sometimes can recite dialogues); I am a digital and film photographer; I am a passionate learner about the environment and every spring-fall I do gardening; I love to be "hands-on" building useful and practical objects out of wood.
